Italian word of the day: acribìa

<a-cri-bì-a> s.f.

   ~ Precisione meticolosa; rigore critico.

Dal gr. akríbeia ‘precisione’ | 1841

Not to be confused with pignolerìa

<pi-gno-le-rì-a> s.f.

   ~ Pedanteria riconducibile a un’eccessiva e tirannica scrupolosità.

Acribìa has a very strong positive connotation, I would dare say almost spiritual, while pignolerìa is most certainly not.

Is there a word in English for "positively meticulous preciseness"?
